Since September 20th 2008 the Credit Union is backed by a state guarantee of €100,000 per individual member in addition to our own savings protection scheme with the Irish League of Credit Unions.

Members if you are experiencing financial problems or you are having difficulties in regard to your loan repayments, please contact the Credit Union as soon as possible.

Requirements for joining your Credit Union

New members are always welcome in Swords & District Credit union.

Withdrawals over €3,000

Members are asked to give 3 days notice for withdrawals over €3,000

Changes in DIRT

In the last budget the DIRT interest rate was increased from 25% to 27% from 1st January 2011

Revenue Reporting

On 6th May 2008 Minister of Finance signed an order regarding reporting of income on savings in financial institutions including credit unions.
