The Board of Directors and Management of Swords & District Credit Union welcome the publication of the Commission on Credit Unions Report on the future of the Irish credit union sector. We at Swords & District Credit Union believe the publication of this Report is a positive step towards the implementation of an enhanced regulatory and governance framework for the movement and look forward to the development of reformed credit union legislation in the near future.

We believe that members of credit unions across the country are entitled to best practice standards of proficiency and competency from all credit unions across Ireland. We believe that the Report of the Commission is a further step in that direction. Upgrade to Phone System

On Thursday 19^th April 2012 we will be upgrading our phone system.

Unfortunately while the system is being implemented we will not be able to accept phone calls.

We apologise for this inconvenience and hope this new system will allow us to deliver a better service to all members.

As a result of the surveys a number of members have expressed an interest in becoming volunteers with Swords Credit Union. It’s great to see that the community spirit is still alive in Swords. We are holding an information night about volunteering within Swords CU on 7^th of March for all those who expressed an interest.

The Annual General Meeting of the Members of Swords & District Credit Union will take place in Fingallians GAA Club, Swords on Monday 5^th December 2011 at 8.00p.m.

Refreshments will be provided

All members attending the AGM will be eligible to participate in a FREE DRAW.

Members are requested to bring their passbooks to the AGM.
